Pineapple Lemonade


A lovely twist on classic lemonade, this makes a great base for a refreshing long drink anytime of the day. There are so many delicious flavor combinations and sweet pineapple pairs perfectly Pineapple lemonade is great to have on hand while watching the rain clouds roll in. lemonade is one of my favorite drinks. It’s sweet, it’s fruity and makes a refreshing drink Only 3 ingredients come together for this kid friendly party punch. When the weather heats up, cool down with an easy homemade pineapple lemonade.

Simple Syrup
  • Sugar – ¾ cup
  • Water -5 cups
  • Mint leaves –optional
Ingredients
  • Fresh pineapple cored and cubes -1 no
  • Juice of 3 lemons
  • Cold water –as needed


 

Method
Simple Sugar Syrup
For lemonade simple syrup, in a small saucepan combine sugar and water. Cook and stir over medium-high heat until sugar is just dissolved. Remove from heat. Cool 
slightly.
How to prepare the lemonade

1. Peel and quarter the pineapple. Remove and discard the tough core then chop roughly.


2. Trim the ends off the lemons then quarter. Remove the pips and slice into cubes.


3. Place chopped pineapple in a blender along with simple sugar syrup to taste.Cover and blend until smooth.


4. Now  pureed pineapple is ready in the blender.


5. Filter the pulp portion and collect the pineapple juice in a separate bowl.


6. Squeeze all the lemons and keep it aside.


7. Now pour the lemon juice and stir until everything comes together.


8. Just before serving, fill glasses half-full with crushed ice and mint leaves. Using a wooden spoon, gently bruise mint to release flavor.(optional).


9. Pour into ice-filled glasses; stir to combine. Chill or serve with ice cubes.

Notes
  • You can use fresh pineapples or just grab fresh cut pineapples from the super market, frozen will work as well. 
  • Then you put in the blender and pulse until puree.You may use sweeteners to replace syrup.
