During the summer months, especially in humid places like Chennai, people are more prone to dehydration. Mostly people eat at restaurants at least once a week either with family or with their friends. There are loads of choices for restaurants these days but the high cost involved is often a concern when it’s a large group of people. Dehydration is the excess loss of fluid, leading to metabolic imbalances. To prevent these problems, doctors’ advice against consuming food high in sugar, or salt, including soft drinks. It is better to stick to drinks like buttermilk, tender coconut water, or even plain water during the summer. Muskmelon is rich in Vitamin A,C and calcium.

Method
1. Put 1/2 cup chopped (deseeded) muskmelon in a blender or juicer.
2. Add cranberry juice and other ingredients with little salt and water to get juice texture. Serve chilled
Notes
You can reduce the black pepper if you feel it’s too much spice.
Strain the juice if necessary.
