Amla(Nellikai) Juice

Amla ( Gooseberry) is rich in Iron and Vitamins. The season of Amla begins in December . Gooseberries are like a  healthiest stuff which most of them stay away from. But it has millions of health benefit packed in them. You should have a portion of this in your diet every day in some form.You can take out Amla Juice and can even store and preserve it to use after the season.

Method

 

1. Cut Amla into small pieces and take out the seeds.Now put as many pieces as you can in a mixing jar and make a paste. Add more pieces of gooseberry into the blender with water.

2. Filter the juice in the bowl and keep the pulp portion aside.Take crystal sugar(pankalkandu) in a bowl and boil it. Strain the impurities and mix it with the amla filtered juice.Add a pinch of cardamom powder .

3. Enjoy your healthy, homemade and refreshing amla juice.

Agreed that any juice tastes great when there is salt and sugar in it, but since we are drinking the juice for health reasons, you could avoid the seasoning. If you must use it, then use the salt and sugar in moderation

  1. yes its highly healthy one but i hate eat raw fruit due to its extreme tanginess.. but this juice looks great with the combo of palm sugar thats a another health supplement :)
